An FAQ section at the end of an article, equipped with FAQPage JSON-LD, yields both classic rich results in Google and direct citations in Perplexity. Keep answers between 40 and 100 words and formulate them as independent sentences that are still understandable even when excerpted.
3. Transparent Author Information
At the bottom of each article, state who the author is, what education or registration that person has, and when the article was last updated. AI models heavily weigh E-E-A-T signals, especially for health content. An article without a visible author is rarely cited.
4. Source Attributions to Authority
Refer in your text to authoritative sources: the Polyvagal Institute, the Dutch Association for Psychotherapy, Schema.org, or Google's own E-E-A-T guidelines. Not to play SEO games, but because AI models judge pages with external references as more reliable.

The five major AI search engines work slightly differently. Claude (Anthropic) has had web search since 2025 via its own index plus direct web calls, and heavily weighs readability, length, and the absence of marketing jargon; long nuanced explanations in plain language work better here than short SEO text. Perplexity is strong in citation transparency and always shows the sources used under each answer; it rewards authority signals and external source attributions. Practically speaking, you don't need to create five versions of your content. The six optimizations above work for all five.
